Ian Lindquist, devoted husband to Kelly and loving father of Sophia(7), Benedict(7), Abigail(6), Evelyn(4), Theodora(3), Cecilia(1) and one on the way, was recently diagnosed with Acute Monocytic Leukemia and is currently undergoing intensive chemotherapy. Please pray for healing for Ian, comfort for his family, and submission to God's will in all things.

They are asking for prayers through the intercession of the Ulma family ("The Good Samaritans of Markowa"), Servants of God, who also had 6 children with another on the way, all close in age to the Lindquist children. They were Polish farmers, killed by the Nazis for harboring Jewish families. A friend of the Lindquists has written the following prayer for them:

"Good Samaritans of Markowa, you loved your neighbors to the point of sacrificing your lives in imitation of Christ. You did not fear to suffer in your imitation of Christ, nor did you shield your children from the demands of evangelical charity. We ask for your intercession on our behalf, that we may be certain that Christ accompanies us in all our sufferings and that he works all things to the good of those who love him. We ask your prayers for Ian Lindquist, may he be healed of Leukemia and all other ailments of body and soul according to God's plan, and may his love for God and neighbor be perfected and bear fruit now and in life eternal."

They are also seeking the intercession of Blessed Carlos Acutis, who died of Leukemia at 15, and blessed his mother with twins late in her life after his death.
